Jamie Quinlan, DNP, MBA, MSN, BSN-RN, NE-BC is a seasoned healthcare leader with extensive experience in emergency operations management and nursing. She has a solid educational background in nursing and management with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from The University of Alabama, a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University, as well as other advanced degrees in nursing administration. In her role as VP of Operations for Emergency Services, Jamie leverages her expertise to manage and guide healthcare organizations in enhancing quality, safety, and efficiency across emergency settings. She works closely with hospital leadership to implement evidence-based practices that drive sustainable improvements in patient care.
Jamie has held senior management roles with two major practice management companies, where she was instrumental in optimizing healthcare operations. Her responsibilities included identifying areas for operational improvement, developing strategies, and ensuring effective follow-through. Prior to her senior operational roles, Jamie was Director of Emergency Services, where she oversaw a high-volume Emergency Department and a Free Standing Emergency Department with a combined annual patient volume of 90,000. During this time, she achieved significant process improvements, including reductions in patient discharge time, low-acuity length of stay, and patient wait times. Notable achievements include the development of a NEDOCS (National Emergency Department Overcrowding Score) surge policy, a rapid EMS triage system, and a sepsis compliance program, which improved sepsis compliance rates by over 40% within five months.
Jamie’s prior roles also include Nurse Manager of a Level I Trauma Center and Associate Director of a Level II Trauma Emergency Department. Additionally, as Nurse Manager and Project Lead, she led the construction and launch of a new Free Standing Emergency Department (FSED) for the University of Utah, the first of its kind in the area.
